JSA Global Ltd are proud sponsors of a charity football camp which is being run by the We Love Football Academy in Cape Town, South Africa. The company, part of the Kestrel Group, have had a presence in South Africa for two years and did not hesitate when they were asked to give their support to the academy.
“When we were approached by the We Love Football Academy, we immediately got on board. As a company we understand the value of “putting something back”. This football camp will play a vital role in the community, not just teaching children football skills but important life skills.” Jamie Murphy, Managing Director, JSA Global South Africa.
The football camp has been set up to run for three days and will further enhance the work that the We Love Football Academy does. Founders Christian Alder and Moritz Wrubel, ex footballers who are also involved in the coaching, have been running the academy now for several months.
“The Academy has been set up as a charitable organisation with the hope of steering underprivileged children to a better future. The We Love Football Academy believes every child should have the opportunity to succeed in life no matter where they were born, how much money their family has of from which background they come from. We want every child to dream about who they want to be – and have the ability to achieve that dream.”
JSA Global have many years’ experience in shipping cargoes to Africa. As liner agent for both WEC Lines and Nile Dutch they understand the nuances of dealing with such a diverse continent. The work that Jamie does with his clients often sees him travelling around Africa and he has seen first-hand the benefits of organisations such as this academy.
“One of the philosophies that we as a Group aim to live by is; to endeavour to put something back to the communities we ship too. We have several charitable projects ongoing around the world. It is really satisfying to see a project such as this making a difference to young lives.” Andy Thorne, CEO Kestrel Group.
